  1. Hello Nina! I have been looking at your photos, thank you! Are your students adults? Or do you also have students in upper secondary education in these builings with these facilities?

  2. Hi Ingrid students can come from collage, that is, to complete years 10 , 11 and 12. However most students on this campus have completed year 12 and now looking for a higher qualification. Our Trade campuses however will take students from Year 10 completion. What is the situation in Sweden?

  3. Hi Nina! In Sweden, compulsory school is 9 years. Then upper secondary education with three year programs. After that: adult education.
The three-year programs are either VET programs or programgs preparing for higher education. (There are also programs for students who are not qualified for the three year programs, there are entry requiremens based on the grades from compulsory school. Some students need what is called an introduction program.

Anyway: I understand your Australian system is very complex with different frameworks and working packages and competencies etc. But it also seems to allow a mix of younger students and adults. That's why I asked. How does that work for you with the younger students who study with adults?

  4. It is most encouraging the older students tend to respect the younger ones more and visa verse as I use a great deal of collaborative learning and it also raises the bar so to speak learning from each other.

  5. I think this would be a good idea for Sweden to, mixing older students with younger. The two "groups" would get a bigger understanding for eachother and they would probably work well together- mixing experience with new ideas!
